Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018. For more information on the USABat standard and a complete list of bats approved through the USABat Standard, visit usabat.com.
Little League® International has assembled an online resource page dedicated to baseball bat information, that includes the latest bat information, current Little League Baseball rules and regulations governing bats, definition of terms, the moratorium on the use of composite bats, and a series of frequently asked questions, with answers and licensed bat lists.
Dunbar Little League will provide approved bats for game use in 2018. Should you wish to purchase your own bat for practice please ensure it has the USA Baseball Bat logo on it (see logos above). If unsure when purchasing your bat make sure to ask the sales representative if in doubt. Local suppliers advise that these bats will be available this Fall.
Alumni coaches and players, some of whom played for the league more than 40 years ago, celebrated DLL history at a cocktail reception hosted by the league. The sold out event at the Lawn Bowling Club featured excellent food and drink, as well as displays of authentic former jerseys and several championship banners highlighting DLL’s storied history.
[Update: Thank you to all the parents who came out for work day. Despite the dreary weather we had another stellar turnout and the fields are starting to look great for the season.]
Hopefully, you don’t need a reminder that Dunbar Little League is a volunteer-run organization.
Every DLL position – President, Board Member, Coordinator, Coach, Manager Concession, and Volunteer Day worker – are equally important…and you matter as we are all doing this so our kids can have the best experience with baseball. The only way the season works is if we all do our part to help out!
Dunbar Baseball is the best community league in Canada because all we have to do is ask and people show up, because you care and are passionate about baseball and our community.
We need as many people as possible to attend the Pre-Season field clean-up Volunteer Day on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Come out to the fields and help us get them ready for the best Little League Season ever, our 60th! Here are the details…
