Coaches – grab your gloves!!
Parents – grab your kids!!
Kids – grab your stomachs–there’s gonna be a lot of laughs!
Majors Diamond 3 PM to 7 PM

First Up – Fun for the littlest of little leaguers. Prior to the coaches tournament, Blastball, TBall and Minor B7 players are invited to come in uniform, hit from a tee at home plate and run the bases to the roar of the crowd!
Next Up – the coaches tournament, the premier event that is sure to be a thrill as those who teach prove if they can or can’t! Thankfully we will have plenty of ice, lots of bandages and ibuprofen on hand.

COACHES TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Four teams, randomly selected, will play two back-to-back four inning (1 hour) games. The winner of each game will play for the championship and the pride of hoisting the Coaches Cup, sponsored by Cool Air!

Come out for the best family party in Dunbar and show your community spirit. Last year’s event was a smashing successful fun event.

Dunbar Baseball Loves Mother’s Day

Hello Dunbar Moms! We know, you NEVER get a real day off, and many of you will be at the park – coaching and cheering your kids on Mother’s Day Sunday May 10. Dunbar Baseball is providing a special treat for all moms in attendance, delivered to fans throughout the day. Or stop by the concession for your treat, where only Dunbar Dads will be volunteering away. On behalf of every player, thank you for being such a great baseball mom!

Dunbar Baseball Support for Uganda Baseball

Kakira Tournament March 2015
Every year, Dunbar Baseball donates equipment and uniforms to the Uganda Baseball and Softball Association (UBASA). Dunbar’s community efforts in supporting baseball in Uganda are shown in the photo above. Yes those are Dunbar and South Van uniforms. The “Dunbar” team won this particular game!
UBASA not only runs community leagues, the likes of what we have here with Little League – but the real growth and impact and excitement – is when UBASA introduces it into the schools. By supporting the physical education teachers – the entire school community benefits.

Thank you for volunteering on Field Prep Day

Over 150 families came out to help get our fields in shape for the season. Thank you to everyone who came out for field prep work day on Saturday March 28. It was one of the first dry work days we’ve had in a few years. At Majors we built a new clay-based mound. At Minor A we installed much needed drainage in the infield and set the artificial mound in place. T-ball was raked into an amazing zen garden and Balaclava is looking Minor B-eautiful. Many of you saw the new plaza around the Majors diamond and concession. We’re the best community league in Canada because of YOU!

Our fields are looking fantastic and the rain is helping the grass to grow!

Soon it’s time to PLAY BALL! Opening Day is Saturday April 11 at 10 AM. See you at the ballpark.
