Please note the following details about the closing day parade, schedule and volunteers needed.
The parade, a highlight of our community, begins at 930 AM from Dunbar Street and King Edward Avenue. All teams will gather on the King Edward Boulevard, West of Dunbar by no later than 9:15 AM. Just like on opening day, look for a sign with your team’s name. Blastball teams will be closest to Dunbar and Majors teams will be the furthest West. All players are to come dressed in full uniform.
The parade will start at 930 AM sharp and will move South on Dunbar Street to Memorial Park. Spectators are welcome along Dunbar street.
On arrival at Memorial Park, all players, coaches and managers will run onto the Majors Diamond in preparation for Closing Ceremonies. Parents, siblings and friends are invited to watch the Closing Ceremonies from the grandstands or from beyond the fence.

Join the Dunbar Baseball Community this coming Saturday June 4 for the following family fun:
Run the Bases
Run the Bases on the Majors Diamond. All T-Ball Jr/Sr and Minor B Jr players are invited to come in uniform, hit from a tee at home plate and run the bases. All participants in Run the Bases will receive a special treat. Interested players are asked to gather in the first base dugout at Majors at 5:15PM.
6 PM All Dunbar coaches from all divisions are invited to participate, no need to sign up, just show up! Four teams, randomly selected, will play two back-to-back four inning (1 hour) games. The winner of each game will play for the championship and the pride of winning the Cool Air Coaches Cup.
Come hungry and thirsty, as a special menu prepared by our own chef Richard Goodine, will be served at concession including meatball and mozza sandwiches, steelhead burgers and lobster rolls.
While the regular season took a pause, Dunbar baseball was very successful this past May Long Weekend with championship wins in the Stong’s, DQ 8s and Jericho 9s Tournaments! Way to go Dunbar!
Dunbar has some exciting events planned for this coming weekend. To celebrate a baseball tradition, all Majors games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday May 6 to 8 will use wood bats only. Players are excited for this retro experience.
Don’t forget that Saturday May 7 is photo day. Click for the full schedule: Dunbar Little League Photo Schedule 2016
And last but not least, Sunday May 8 is Mother’s Day. As has become a Dunbar tradition, we will be serving a Mother’s Day treat from concession. So all moms (and grandmas) are welcome to come by during the day. New this year, the rule is “no moms in the honey hut.” There will be dads only in there all day. On behalf of Dunbar Baseball, thank you to all our moms!
