There was a exciting final this year on the major’s diamond. In a close battle Stong’s Grocers pulled ahead for good in the 4th inning with three runs of their own after Buntain went ahead by 2 with a home run by Brennan with Alex on base after hitting a ground rule double. Grocers did not give up and came right back in the bottom half of that inning which was key.
The two starters, Patrick and Will kept it clean for three innings with fine pitching. Grocers brought in Matt to finish up the game and Patrick finished for Buntain. A nice game of baseball.
Grocers 2011 Playoff Champions
The Majors pennant winners this year was Buntain, putting together a great campaign with one loss during the season and a few close calls along the way and frequently tormented by Legion 142.
