As you know from previous emails Dunbar LL will be doing player evaluations differently this year. All 10, 11 and 12’s will be evaluated using the same system on the same day regardless of the division of play for which they have signed up. This will make for a more uniform process and make it easier to form teams at all divisions and greatly help in balancing team strength.
To help out, YOU need to make every effort to get to this one date to contribute to this process. To make this much easier on the players we have moved these indoors at the Richmond Olympic Oval which is a great training facility. It will be nice and warm and dry. We will be running simultaneous evaluation stations to take off some of the pressure. This is a really fun facility so you won’t want to miss it. You can miss your other committment for this one night.
HERE ARE THE SPECIFICS NOW THAT WE HAVE BEEN TO THE FACILITY AND MAPPED OUT THE PROCESS.
We will be running two sessions.
For all the 10 year olds
ALL THE 10’S WILL BE AT THE FIRST SESSION FROM 7:00 TO 8:30. THIS WILL GET THE YOUNGER PLAYERS HOME EARLIER.
What does 7:00pm mean to us? 7:00 is the start of evaluations. It means that your player will be on the playing surface no later than 6:50 and sitting on a bench in the staging area. A parent can certainly accompany the kids here. I would suggest car pool for those who can arrange it. Pick up after 8:30pm.

The time is 7:00 pm to 8:30 PM FOR 10 YEAR OLDS (IF YOU ARE RECEIVING THIS EMAIL YOU ARE MOST LIKELY IN THIS SESSION)

ALL THE 11’S and 12’s WILL BE AT THE second SESSION FROM 8:30pm to 10:00. THIS WILL GET THE YOUNGER PLAYERS HOME EARLIER and make it easier to evaluate in small groups.

Parking is under the facility and is inexpensive. When you come into the facilty the admissions kiosk personel will direct you to the area. Tell them you are with Dunbar evaluations. There is no charge to enter.

Bring your player in baseball clothes and equipment with helmet, A water bottle and indoor Gym shoes.
I will repeat: Indoor gym shoes.
There will be an (1) infield station and (2) outfield and run station a (3) pitching station and a (4) batting station.
