Field Work Day – Saturday, April 1, 2017

[Update: Thank you to all the parents who came out for work day. Despite the dreary weather we had another stellar turnout and the fields are starting to look great for the season.]

Hopefully, you don’t need a reminder that Dunbar Little League is a volunteer-run organization.

Every DLL position – President, Board Member, Coordinator, Coach, Manager Concession, and Volunteer Day worker – are equally important…and you matter as we are all doing this so our kids can have the best experience with baseball. The only way the season works is if we all do our part to help out!

Dunbar Baseball is the best community league in Canada because all we have to do is ask and people show up, because you care and are passionate about baseball and our community.

We need as many people as possible to attend the Pre-Season field clean-up Volunteer Day on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Come out to the fields and help us get them ready for the best Little League Season ever, our 60th! Here are the details…

Dunbar Little League Field Work Day
When: Saturday, April 1, 2017 *RAIN OR SHINE*
Time: 9:00am arrival until the work is done
Where: All Majors, Minor A and T-Ball Parents, please sign-in at the Memorial Field (33rd and Dunbar) at the volunteer table at concession.
All Minor B Parents, please come directly to the Balaclava Park (31st and Balaclava) ball field.

Bring: Work gloves, a shovel or rake and the expectation to have fun!

Older children who wish to help are invited to participate, but please no little ones or dogs. Please label any tools that you bring to the park to ensure that they are easy for you to locate when the work day is completed. Each year we are left with a dozen or so tools that people forget!

Refreshments: As a big thank you for all your work this year, we will have coffee, muffins and donuts when you arrive, and we are pleased to advise that Steeltoad Brewery will be sponsoring a lunch and drinks at concession.
