To be eligible for an All-Star Team, players must:

Players must have played on a DLL team during the regular season and meet the age requirements.

Player Commitment

  • The Summer Tournament Season runs from the end of the regular season until late July.
  • Practices begin before the end of the regular season.
  • Players and families must be prepared for significant time commitments.

Commitment Expectations:

  • All-Star Teams: 6–7 times per week (practices, games, tournaments)
  • Selects Teams: 3–5 times per week

Player Selection Process

DLL uses an evaluation process that includes:

  • Regular season performance assessment by coaches
  • Feedback from T21 coaches from Sunday development sessions

A Selection Committee of independent board members will appoint a Head Coach, who will then review player evaluations and propose final team selections.

Selection factors include:

  • Eligibility
  • Skill level
  • Position needs
  • Sportsmanship
  • Commitment and availability

More information on assessments will be shared during the regular season.

Head Coach Selection

The DLL board will select Head Coaches for each team through a Selection Committee. Coaches must submit an application, with deadlines announced during the regular season. Head Coaches will be approved by the Board of Directors, typically by mid-May.
