Umpiring at Dunbar Little League

Majors Division Players who are at least 11 years old this season and players who have aged out of Little League are invited to become an umpire with Dunbar Little League.

Umpiring is a fun way to be involved with baseball outside of playing games as well as a great way to earn some extra money and learn decision-making skills and to take on responsibility.

New umpires will typically begin with base umpiring at Mini Minors and with experience, players can move to be plate umpiring for Mini Minors, then base umpiring and plate umpiring for Minors.

Dunbar Little League pays our umpires the following per game honorarium:
• Mini Minors Base Umpire: $15
• Mini Minors Plate Umpire: $20
• Minors/Majors B Base Umpire: $20
• Minors/Majors B Plate Umpire: $25
• Majors A Base Umpire: $30
• Majors A Plate Umpire: $35

New Umpires

DLL is looking for adult umpires! If you’d like to be a part of our umpire roster and be part of the action at Currie field this season, please email Wesley Koroluk, DLL’s Umpire-In-Chief at chiefumpire@dunbarbaseball.ca. Please include name, email and phone number. Our adult umpire training session will be Sunday, April 28 from 6-8 pm at Carnarvon park (Jericho).

Returning Umpires

Returning umpires should have received an email via assignr.com prior to the season with the clinic details. The umpire clinic will be mandatory for returning umpires and will serve as a refresher.

Scheduling

Following the umpire clinic, scheduling for all divisions will be done via Assignr.com. Once you have registered for the clinic and provided the umpire’s information, you will be advised to make an Assignr.com account (if you haven’t already done so). This is where umpires will provide their availability for the season and where they will be assigned games to work.
