Dunbar Little League would like to thank all our incredible volunteers and alumni players for their time, passion and commitment to our League this past summer. Without everyone’s amazing efforts, we would not have been able to provide summer programming where half of our members were able to participate.
For a few short weeks it felt as though the heartbeat of Dunbar was back at Memorial Park West!
This year we said goodbye to 42 of our 12-year-old players and for those in town in July we were able to put together a modified scrimmage complete with a hotdog, candy bag, and DLL pin to celebrate their years with Dunbar Little League.
There were many things we all lost without a 2020 season…the opportunity for many 12-year-old players to play on the Major’s Diamond, not being able to host the 9/10s Provincials Tournament, and the chance to watch the joy on the T-baller’s faces as they ran through the field high-fiving our Majors players on opening day (just to name a few). However, we proved as a community that, given the chance, we will always come together to enjoy the sport of baseball!
